Library adds ‘Hoopla’ database to collection

Aug 4, 2020

The Wareham Free Library has added Hoopla, an on-demand digital content service, to its collection.

Patrons can use their library card to borrow over 750,000 titles including audiobooks, e-books, comics, music, movies and TV. Additionally, content can be streamed from any computer, television, mobile device or platform by downloading the hoopla digital app for iOS, Android, AppleTV, Chromecast or Roku.

“We’re excited to continue to increase our digital content to patrons 24/7, wherever they are,” said Library Director George Ripley.

The hoopla digital collection includes fan favorite movies, newly released albums, New York Times bestselling titles, and exclusive STEAM education content to enhance each user's experience. Hoopla digital is a service of Midwest Tape – a trusted partner of libraries for over 25 years.

The Wareham Free Library remains closed to the public, but staff are on hand to help patrons with item recommendations, assistance using Libby/Overdrive, and aid accessing its numerous free databases. If patrons wish to place items on hold, they can continue to do so by calling (508) 295-2343 and dialing zero. They can set up a five-minute appointment for the library's curbside pick-up service at the Main Library.
