TOWN OF WAREHAM
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Town of Wareham will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 19, 2020, at 5:30 P.M. in Room 27, Memorial Town Hall, 54 Marion Road, Wareham. The hearing’s purpose is to discuss proposed budget and programmatic amendments to the Town’s FY 2019 Mini-Entitlement Plan grant from the Massachusetts Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, to report on the progress of current grants, and to discuss local community development and housing needs in anticipation of the Town’s FY 2021 CDBG grant application.

Under the proposed amendment, the Town will seek to re-capitalize its housing rehabilitation program and to complete other activities that can be funded from available FY 2019 funds. Funds unexpectedly became available due to another project activity coming in well below estimate. The hearing will also provide the public with an update on the progress of Wareham’s FYs 2018 and 2019 CDBG grants.

Any person or organization will be afforded an opportunity to be heard. Suggestions for activities to be included in the grant amendment may be made at the hearing, or before the hearing in writing to the DPCD, in Town Hall, 54 Marion Road. The Town encourages a broad spectrum of participation by residents and other interested parties. The hearing location is accessible to persons with physical disabilities. If you require a translator, an accommodation for a hearing impairment or other accommodation, contact the DPCD no later than Wednesday, October 14, telephone 508.291.3100, ext. 3171, or via email at psanborn@wareham.ma.us.
