Lawrence F. Raymond, Captain USN Retired, 87, of Orlando, FL, died June 7, 2019. He was the husband of the late Patricia (Murphy) Raymond, Onset Massachusetts and the son of the late Charles and Irene (Vincent) Raymond, Buzzards Bay Massachusetts.

He was born in Brockton, MA and lived in Orlando for the last 28 years.

Mr. Raymond served in the United States Navy from 1950 to 1993. After 43 years of service to his country he retired as a Captain and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

He enjoyed golfing, gardening, traveling with his wife, sharing his passion for history with his family and loving his Grandchildren.  

Survivors include his children, Deborah Ann Lemm of Chesapeake, VA, Lawrence Michael Raymond of Methuen MA, Kathleen Marie Doyle of Orlando, FL and Jeffrey Allen Raymond of Kimberly, WI; a brother, Charles Raymond of Ohio; 3 sisters, Sandra Hume of WV, Joanne Anderson of MD and Nancy Partington of NH; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.

Visiting hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2019 in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
