Joseph A. Maniglia, 47, of Wareham, died August 11, 2022, at home.  He was the husband of Jocelyn (LaChance) Maniglia.

He was born in Malden and lived in Wareham for most of his life.  He graduated from Mount Saint Charles Academy in Woonsocket, RI and received a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from SUNY Geneseo.

Mr. Maniglia worked hard to provide for his family, loved entertaining friends and making people laugh.

He enjoyed playing and watching sports, especially hockey, baseball, and soccer. He was especially passionate about music, inspirational videos, his family, and friends. He was the life of the party and a member of the Sig Ep fraternity at SUNY at Geneseo.

Survivors include his wife, Jocelyn (LaChance) Maniglia; his children, Dana C. Manigliaand Sophia L. Maniglia both of Wareham; his mother, Linda M. (DiNatale) Maniglia of Onset; a brother, Frank Maniglia and his wife, Meghan of Wareham; a nephew and niece, Anna and Frank Maniglia both of Wareham. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph S. Maniglia.

Visiting hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.

His funeral will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2022, from the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High St., Wareham.  Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

He was deeply passionate about helping people and we all know that he was a huge support system for friends and family all over. Now that he can no longer be around for those in need, we hope that we can use this system to help touch souls.
