Jeanne M. (Morrissey) Griffin, 75

Jeanne M. (Morrissey) Griffin, 75, of West Wareham, died April 11, 2022, at Tobey Hospital while surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Paul T. Griffin. They were married for 57 years.  She was the daughter of the late Francis J. “Mike” and Dorothy (McGinty) Morrissey.

Jeanne was born in Brockton and lived in Dorchester, Ormand Beach, Florida, and Wareham for many years.  She graduated from Hyde Park High School and received an Associate’s Degree from Fisher Junior College in Easton.

She worked as an office manager for Counseling Center in New Bedford for many years.  

Jeanne enjoyed traveling and had been all over the world. She made many friends and organized trips so that others could experience and enjoy traveling too. She was a great friend to many, she loved socializing especially with her sisters, family members and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Paul T. Griffin of West Wareham; a son, Sean C. Griffin of Leominster; 2 daughters, Cara Eleniefsky of Wareham, Kati Brightman and her husband Scott of Wareham; her grandchildren, Emily Griffin, Molly Babcock, Gabrielle, Andrew and Jonathan Brightman, Jacob and Josephine Eleniefsky; a great granddaughter, Marlo Elizabeth Babcock; her siblings, her twin Jayne McLaughlin and her husband, Michael of Farmington, CT, Geri Graham and her husband Robert of Wareham, Deirdre London and her husband Steve of West Roxbury, Michael Morrissey and his wife, Judy of Canton, Kevin Morrissey and his wife Sue of Dorchester, Brian Morrissey of Quincy, Barney Morrissey and his husband Michael of Bangor, ME, Dennis Morrissey and his wife Sheila of Bangor, ME, Billy Morrissey and his wife, Helen of Meridian, ID, Erin Richards and her husband Bobby of Abington, Tim Morrissey of Boston and Teri Foster and her husband Billy of Abington. She was the mother of the late Daniel Patrick Griffin who died last November and sister of the late Matthew and Sean Morrissey.

Visiting hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.
