Jason S. Thomas, 43

Jason S. Thomas, 43, of Foxborough, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at home. He was the son of Barbara R. Thomas of West Wareham.

Jason attended Nipmuc Regional High School and later graduated from Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood. He attended The State University of New York and Merrimack College studying Sports Medicine. Jason honorably served as a Deputy Sheriff for the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office in Bourne, Massachusetts for the past 15 years. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all.   Jason was an avid New England sports fan and enjoyed golfing, traveling and skiing. His favorite sport was Ice Hockey and his position was goaltender.  

In addition to his mother he is survived by his aunts and uncles; Emily Heavey and her husband John, Eva McMorrow and her husband Dave, Sandra Moffi and her husband Paul, Ernest S. Thomas and his wife Cheryl, Gary Thomas and Cathy Rolon.  He is also survived by many loving cousins, relatives, friends and colleagues.  

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, February 16, from 12-2 pm and 4-6pm in the Wareham Village Funeral Home 5 Center St.  Wareham. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. His funeral will be from the Funeral Home on Monday, February 17, at 9:15am followed by his funeral Mass at 10             o’clock in Saint Patrick’s Church, 82 High Street Wareham, MA. Interment will follow in Saint Patrick’s Parish Cemetery, Tihonet Road Wareham.
