James W. “Jim Dandy” Parham, 80

James W. “Jim Dandy” Parham, 80, of Wareham, died Aug. 23, 2021, at Tobey Hospital. He was the son of the late Otis Parham II and Bertha (Cromer) Parham.

He was born in Boston and lived in Brockton and Falmouth for many years before moving to Wareham in 2012.

Mr. Parham worked for the Royal Health Group in the Maintenance Department for many years before retiring.

He was a well-known and talented singer in the “Jim Dandy Trio” and later as “Jim Dandy with the Rescuers.” He was also a skilled builder and maker of jewelry.

Survivors include 2 sons, Jay Parham of Medford and Tevin Parham of Tallahassee, FL; a sister, Lorraine Washington of Jamaica Plain; a brother, Otis Parham, III of NC. He was predeceased by a son, James Morris, a brother, Robert Parham and a sister, Doris Douglas.

His services are private.
