The Wareham Historical Society has presented Lukas Hunter Watkins with a $1,000 for his studies at Curry College.

Watkins expressed his gratitude for the scholarship, and said: “As I mentioned today, my field trip and lunch on the town green is a great memory. Thanks for all that you do to share the history of Wareham and the words of encouragement.”

Angela Dunham, the president of the Wareham Historical Society, said that she and the rest of the society wish Watkins “continued success in his studies.”

Watkins is the son of Kevin Watkins and Teri DeFilippo.
