Have a spooky Halloween at free community events

Oct 31, 2019

Halloween is hauntingly near. A variety of fun events are planned for October 31.

Join the Dog Park Alliance of Wareham (DPAW) and the Wareham Pack Walkers with their costumed Comfort Canines at TD Bank in Wareham Center on Halloween from 2 to 3 p.m. DPAW and TD Bank will have free giveaways for kids, and DPAW will share free Halloween stories and crafts. No outside dogs will be allowed.

The Wareham Village Association will be hosting a trick-or-treating event from 3 to 5 p.m. on Main Street. The association recommends starting at Eastern Bank before making a full loop of participating businesses.

The Bridge Church will host its annual Fall Festival and Chowder Cook-off from 6 to 9 p.m. on 15 Highland Ave., Onset. The event is free and will include inflatables for kids, an international food court, and candy.

Onset Foursquare Church will hold its 9th Annual Trunk'n’Treat from 5 to 8 p.m.

The event is a safe alternative to neighborhood trick-or-treating. Starting at Lopes Field on 301 Onset Ave., themed car trunks, trucks and vans will be decorated and loaded with candy. Children can participate in the carnival-like games with prizes and enjoy a hot dog dinner and drinks. This a free event and open to the community.
