Frigid forecast moves Wareham High School’s Thanksgiving Day football game to Wednesday

With a frigid Thanksgiving Day in the forecast, Wareham High School’s traditional football game against Bourne will be played on Wednesday night.

Temperatures are expected to be in the low 20s with winds 15 to 20 mph. The wind chill is expected to be 9 degrees. School officials cited the cold as the reason for the game change. The Vikings record for the season is 2-8-0 overall.

The game will be played at Spillane Field at Wareham High School. Tickets cost $5. Kick-off is 6 p.m.
