Free meals for kids to resume Aug. 31
Free meal distribution for all kids 18 years old and younger will resume from Monday, August 31, through Tuesday, September 15.
The meal program will be identical to the one run by Wareham Public Schools from March 16 through August 14. During that time, the district provided 238,020 meals for children in Wareham.
Meal distribution will continue after September 15 through the school year, but the details are still being decided. Plans will be announced once they are finalized.
From August 31 through September 15, anyone can pick up a free breakfast and lunch for their child between 9:30 and 11 a.m. The child does not need to be present for pick-up, and children do not need to be students at Wareham schools.
