Senator Marc Pacheco has announced a new round of grant funding for small businesses impacted by covid-19.

In Wareham, five businesses received grants: Kaleidoscope of Dance and Gymnastics received $70,000, E.L. Morse Lumber received $75,000, artist and jewelry-maker Jasmine Keane received $10,000 and Beaver Dam Partners, the publisher of Wareham, Dartmouth, and Sippican Week newspapers, received $75,000.

Over $1.2 million in funding was dispersed in this round of grants to businesses across the 1st Plymouth and Bristol District, which includes Marion, Bridgewater, Carver, Middleborough, Raynham, Taunton and Wareham. Rochester and Mattapoisett are part of the 1st and 2nd Bristol and Plymouth districts, respectively.

“I am very pleased that fifty-three local businesses in the district I represent have been selected to receive a total of over $3 Million in the three rounds of COVID-19 Small Business Grant Program awards,” said Pacheco. “With the ongoing pandemic causing major economic disruption for so many local businesses, I am proud to have fought for the inclusion of these additional resources in the annual legislative budget.”
