With the help of Al Gardner of Gardner Concrete Forms, the Wareham-New Bedford Lodge of Elks #73 held an October cookout with veterans at Spinal Cord Injury Unit of Brockton’s VA Campus.

Gardner was joined by Lodge Veterans Chairman Mike Ward and committee member Ron Capolla who helped with cooking, serving and cleaning at the event. 

The cookout was complete with a game of nickel and dime hosted by in campus’s day room with Gardner serving as the dealer.

Garder helps the Elks to host three to four similar outreach events each year for veterans who are severely injured. The next event is scheduled for December, weather permitting.
