An electrical fire in the wall of a unit at Brandy Hill Apartments was quickly extinguished by the Wareham Fire Department early in the afternoon of Monday, August 5.

A neighbor called in to report the smell of smoke in building 2 of the complex, located off Minot Ave.

On the scene, crews opened the wall to extinguish the fire, and determined that it had not spread to any other units. No one was injured.

District Fire Chief Matt Rowley expressed gratitude to the Onset Fire District and Marion Fire Department for providing mutual aid.
