As a coastal town, Wareham is especially vulnerable to the effects of climate change.

The town received a Municipality Vulnerability Action Grant from the state, which will fund a town-wide climate change flood vulnerability study and determine what adaptation might be necessary.

A public outreach session will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, in Room 27 at the Town Hall.

At the session, the reasons behind and goals for the study will be discussed alongside the data already collected, and a first look at the results.

There will be a thirty minute presentation, followed by an opportunity to ask questions and review the draft risk maps in detail.
