Charlotte A. Strong-Ziemba, 90

Charlotte A. Strong-Ziemba, 90, died Monday, October 5, 2020 at the Tremont Health Care Center in Wareham.

Born and raised in Boston, she married Kenneth Strong in 1951. They moved to Wareham together in 1966 and raised their two children, Kenneth Strong, Jr. and Linda Strong.

Together with Kenneth, she owned and operated Roland Thatcher Nursing Home (now Tremont Health Care Center) for 20 years. Following the death of Kenneth, Charlotte married Richard Ziemba of Wareham.

She always worked with the elderly and enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts and yard sales.

Survivors include her two children, Kenneth E. Strong, Jr. and Linda A. Strong both of Wareham; two brothers, Alec Robinson of Florida and Donald Powell of Quincy; five grandchildren, Carolyn, Danny and his wife Miceala, Pat and his wife Jen, Joey and his wife Kara, and Rebecca and her husband Rob; her great grandchildren, Jessica Oswald, Kenzie Jo Sullivan and Bennett Sullivan.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham on Friday, Oct. 9, 2020 from 3 – 5 PM.  (Appropriate COVID-19 protocol will be observed including the use of face masks, social distancing.  Wait times in line may vary due to temporary limited capacity).  Interment in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree will be private.
