Charles H. Pillsbury III, 73

Charles H. Pillsbury III, 73, of Wareham, died Thursday, November 11, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Mary Jane (Donnelson) Pillsbury.

Born in Fall River, Mr. Pillsbury was the son of the late Mabel (Dippel) and Charles H. Pillsbury, Jr. He graduated from B.M.C. Durfee High School in Fall River and attended Barrington College. He moved to Wareham in 1972.

Mr. Pillsbury was the owner of Community Mini-Storage in Wareham and was the former manager for J.J. Newberry’s in Wareham.

He served in the National Guard and was a lifelong member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where he served as a Deacon. He enjoyed spending time with his family, dining out, going to the movies, following the news and discussing politics.

He is survived by his sons, Charles H. Pillsbury IV and his wife Cara and Matthew D. Pillsbury all of Wareham; his sister, Debra Pillsbury of Fall River; his grandchildren, Alyson, John, Joseph and Mariah, and his great-grandson, Charles. He was predeceased by his brother and sister, the late Frank Pillsbury and Rose Lindemann.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham on Wed., Nov. 17, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thurs., Nov. 18, 2021, at the First Congregational Church, Gibbs Ave., Wareham at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Agawam Cemetery, Wareham.
