WAREHAM – Carlos M. Lima, 75, of East Wareham, passed away on Feb. 23, 2023 at Tremont Health Care Center, Wareham. He was the husband of Deborah E. (Theodore) Lima and the son of the late Joao Bernardo and Maria G. Moniz (DaSilva) Lima.

He was born in St. Michael, Azores and lived in New Bedford before moving to Wareham 52 years ago.

Mr. Lima worked as a carpenter for Baystate Drywall in Freetown for many years before retiring.

He enjoyed fishing and was an avid golfer.  He played semi-pro soccer. Most of all he loved spending time with his family especially with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Deborah E. (Theodore) Lima; his son, Michael Lima and his fiance, Kristina of Marion; his daughter, Doreen Huffman and her husband, Marc, who was like a second son to him, of Marion; his brother, Daniel Lima of New Bedford; his sisters, Isabelle Morgado of NH, Paulina Lima of NH, Maria G. Lima of Somerville, and Nancy Rezendes of New Bedford; his grandchildren, Christopher, Caleb and Marielle Huffman; many nephews and nieces. He was the brother of the late John Lima.

Visiting hours are from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.
