Applications for ‘mini-grants’ available on March 5

Applications for grants of up to $2,500 to support all-volunteer groups in Wareham will be available starting Tuesday, March 5.

The ‘mini-grants’ are provided by the United Way of Greater New Bedford for groups with budgets of $40,000 or less.

Potential projects must be in one of United Way’s impact areas which include health, education, financial stability and basic needs.

Two info sessions on the application process will be held at the New Bedford Free Public Library, located at 613 Pleasant St., on March 5.

The first session will run from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The second session will run from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Registration is required.

Grant applications can be found online starting March 5 at www.unitedwayofgnb.communityforce.com and will only be accepted electronically. All applications must be submitted by April 12.
