Massachusetts State Police responding to a fiery crash along Route 25 eastbound in Wareham found a 60 year-old Holbrook man dead inside his car early Thursday morning.

The victim, Frank Mctighe, was reportedly found inside the charred vehicle by State Police Troopers responding to the crash around 3 a.m. 

Authorities say troopers found the car on Route 25 eastbound, just prior to Exit 2 in Wareham near mile marker 2.4, in the median strip against a tree and fully engulfed in flames.

Local firefighters were called in to help extinguish the blaze.

An ongoing investigation into the crash is being carried out by Massachusetts State Police with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section.
