Opening Weekend at the NBSO!

Oct 3, 2019

Why attend “Mozart & Mahler” at the Zeiterion this weekend?

Here are our top 3 reasons:

1. A Different Kind of Mahler Symphony: Sleigh bells, sweet, child-like melodies, a fiendish fiddler, a trip to heaven – that is what Mahler has in store for us with his Fourth Symphony. Not to mention what he considered to be his most beautiful slow movement. Inspired by a collection of German folk poetry and adopting a child’s perspective, Mahler gives us his most playful, exuberant, and joyful symphony.
2. Beethoven's and Brahms’s Favorite Mozart Piano Concerto: Both Beethoven and Brahms loved Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20. They performed it and wrote cadenzas for it.
3. Yaniv at the Piano: Maestro Dinur will be performing the piano concerto while conducting the orchestra. You don’t see that every day!

Plus, Sunday tickets start at just $10. Visit nbsymphony.org for all the details.

See you at the Symphony - Saturday at 7:30pm or Sunday at 2:30pm!
