On Saturday, February 19, the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra presents the ever-popular movie night concert “Hollywood Pops.” Under the direction of Music Director Yaniv Dinur, the 76 person orchestra will perform unforgettable music from three iconic film composers of our time: John Williams, Hans Zimmer, and Danny Elfman.

The program will include music from Star Wars, Harry Potter, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Lion King, Gladiator, Batman, The Simpsons, and more!  With the added commentary (or should we say comedy) by the South Coast’s favorite Maestro, this entertaining voyage to movieland is definitely worth the trip!

“Hollywood Pops” will take place on February 19, 7:30 pm, at the Zeiterion Performing Arts Center in downtown New Bedford. Please join us in the theatre at 6:30 pm for Yaniv Dinur’s pre-concert talk on the music of the evening. Doors to the theatre will open at 6:00 pm for the talk, and 7:00 for those not attending the talk. Tickets are $10‒$65, with $5 student tickets (available at the box office only with student ID).
