Holiday Pops Family Concert!

Dec 7, 2020

The New Bedford Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce a fantastic virtual holiday concert! Our virtual Holiday Pops Family Concert will premiere on Saturday, December 19, at 3:30pm, and ticket holders will have unlimited access to the concert for 30 days. Join us from the comfort of your own home for some familiar holiday cheer.

Our concert program includes the magnificent NBSO musicians performing holiday favorites at festive locations around the South Coast, Music Director Yaniv Dinur and South Coast Chamber Artistic Director Janice Weber performing a piano piece for 4 hands, the entire orchestra gathering virtually for a joyful performance of Sleigh Ride, Conductor Tobias Monte leading our Southeastern Massachusetts Youth Orchestra in holiday song, and soprano Elena Shaddow, a rising star of stage and screen, singing holiday songs with Yaniv’s virtual accompaniment. We might even throw in some ugly Christmas sweaters...and a very special surprise guest!

Tickets are just $10 per household and are available at Zeiterion.org until 12noon on December 19. Ticket purchasers will receive a private link on December 19 for access via YouTube.com beginning at 3:30pm. The concert will remain available for viewing for 30 days.

A special thank you to the Drawing Room, Seamen's Bethel, the Zeiterion, and the Rotch-Jones-Duff House and Garden Museum for hosting our musicians!

The NBSO is a professional orchestra that annually presents a concert series of classical and pops music as well as an outstanding chamber music series. In addition, the NBSO’s innovative and nationally recognized educational programs reach thousands of students each year in local schools and through open access online. This season, concerts and programs are being presented virtually for the safety of our musicians and patrons. The NBSO is dedicated to building a community of music in the South Coast.
