Join the Friends of the Dartmouth Libraries on Wednesday, November 3, 6:00 p.m. to hear Maureen Boyle discuss her latest book that explores the 1980 murder of Police Chief Greg Adams and the shocking discovery of his killer’s remains in a quiet Dartmouth neighborhood.  Because of the popularity of Ms. Boyle’s presentations, the Friends have sponsored two evenings with the author.  This is the second program which will be held at the Southworth Library.

Maureen Boyle, an award-winning journalist, has been a crime reporter in New England for more than 25 years and was the first to cover the New Bedford highway serial killer which she detailed in Shallow Graves.  Her latest book, The Ghost: The Murder of Police Chief Greg Adams and the Hunt for His Killer, explores the search for the chief’s murderer that spans decades.  She holds an undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Bridgeport and a master's degree in criminal justice from Anna Maria College. She is currently the director of the journalism program at Stonehill College.

In accordance with the Dartmouth Board of Health guidelines, audience members are strongly encouraged to adhere to the recent CDC advisory that all people wear masks indoors regardless of vaccination status due to the presence of the highly infectious Delta variant.

Ms. Boyle’s presentation will be held in the Haskell Auditorium at Southworth Library, 732 Dartmouth Street.  For more information, please e-mail fodl.libraries@gmail.com.
