Free Music in the City September Concert Dates

The New Bedford Symphony Orchestra’s Music in the City series continues in September with popup quintet, trio, duo, and solo performances in New Bedford and Fall River. All performances are free. 

  • September 3, 6-7pm, in the parking lot at Carter’s Clothing Store, 55 William Street, New Bedford (the NBSO Brass Quintet)
  • September 7, 11am–12noon, at the Fall River Library Re-opening Ceremony, 104 N Main St, Fall River
  • September 7, 6:30-7:30pm, Summer Winds at the Co-Creative Center, 137 Union St, New Bedford, In partnership with DATMA
  • September 12, 6–7pm, as part of AHA! Night, in the New Bedford Whaling Museum’s Captain Paul Cuffee Park, corner of Johnny Cake Hill and Union St, New Bedford
  • September 15, 5–6pm, Hazelwood Park, New Bedford
  • September 20, 5:30–6:30pm, in front of the Buttonwood Park Zoo entrance, 425 Hawthorn St, New Bedford
  • September 21, 11am–2pm, 3 separate 1-hour concerts at the New Bedford Whaling Museum in conjunction with Smithsonian Museum Day, 18 Johnny Cake Hill, New Bedford
  • September 28, 1–2pm, Bow to Stern Festival at Custom House Square, 21 Barkers Lane, New Bedford, In partnership with DATMA
