Hey teens and tweens, the library has an event for you

Author of the Massachusetts Book Awards honored novel “Better Must Come” Desmond Hall is coming to the Wareham Free Library to discuss what inspired his book aimed at tweens and teenagers and his journey as a writer.
The event will be held at the library, 59 Marion Road Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 6 p.m. The event will begin with a discussion led by Hall followed by a question and answer period and a book signing,
“Better Must Come” follows two teens, Deja and Gabriel, searching for ways to get themselves and their families away from difficult and dangerous circumstances.
The two face gang violence, familial abandonment and the pressure of survival while navigating young love.
Hall, originally from Jamaica now lives in New York City and has authored two critically acclaimed young adult novels, “Better Must Come” and “Your Corner Dark.” Hall often draws on personal and historical context in his stories.
